Mrs Dian Maheia, Chief Executive Officer in the MoECST and Ms Yolanda Gongora, Chief Education Officer, are in the United States for negotiations pertaining to education projects under the Millennium Challenge Corporation. 

This compact between the Government of Belize (GOB) and MCC will focus on two projects: Education and Energy. The Education Project aims to enhance post-primary education to meet labor market needs by improving teaching methods, access to secondary education, and TVET sector capacity, with final discussions underway for a five-year grant agreement expected to be signed later this year, with implementation scheduled for 2025.Image attachment
