FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
There are some 54 Government and Community Primary Schools scattered throughout the country which the General Manager has oversight function to ensure the efficient and effective management in order to achieve the natural goals of Education. To accomplish such a task the General Manager needs to:
| Make regular visits countrywide as part of the management strategy. |
| Meet collectively with all principals and local managers of government schools (district/zones) at least once a year to discuss issues and concerns. |
| Supervise five (5) Government Primary Schools in the Belize District in the capacity of Local manager. |
| Supply schools with the resources needed for the effective delivery of primary education. |
| Ensure effective use of resources. |
